Meet Tina
My name is Tina Saxton, founder of Gastronaut Tours.
For more than 23 years, I have worked in the travel industry, specializing in the highly personalized world of entertainment and luxury travel. Throughout my career, I have been trusted to design seamless, high-touch travel experiences, developing a deep understanding of what transforms a trip from simply enjoyable into something truly exceptional.
My perspective on travel changed profoundly when I met my husband, Vancouver chef and restaurateur Robert Belcham. Through him, I began experiencing destinations through the lens of food and the people behind it. Travel became more meaningful as I discovered the stories, traditions, and craftsmanship that shape a region's culinary identity. Time spent with farmers, fishermen, winemakers, cheesemakers, and local producers gave me a far deeper appreciation for gastronomy and its power to connect us to a place and its culture.
In 2024, after more than two decades in corporate travel, I made the decision to launch Gastronaut Tours. The concept was born from a desire to combine my expertise in luxury travel with Canada's extraordinary culinary talent, creating immersive journeys that offer privileged access to the people, places, and flavours that define a destination.
Today, Gastronaut Tours brings together my two greatest passions: exceptional travel and unforgettable food experiences. Each itinerary is thoughtfully designed to showcase a destination through its culinary traditions while delivering the elevated service, comfort, and attention to detail that discerning travellers deserve.
